ACCOUNTABILITIES


To provide technical and analytical support to the ODM and OEM commodity manager and its team, working with key stakeholders internally such as group planning, group engineering, group manufacturing and group quality. Acting as the sector point of contact for external stakeholders such as industry specialists in the various trade bodies in order to update market intelligence, tracking data and briefing commodity managers

Working to provide and monitor key industrial and market data, which is then extrapolated for use internally prior and during negotiations, as well as assisting with strategic thinking by the commodity manager.

Ensuring that all data and information systems are updated and data is fit for use by the commodity manager. This includes data that is sent to plants for the budget process, data sent to suppliers upon performance and measurements of Key Performance Indicators

A key point of contact for collating data for projects, during the escalation procedure with suppliers and ensuring all claims and data is tabulated and understood by the commodity manager. Collating data such as spec changes, ensuring spec sheets are up dated and available.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Relevant Degree or equivalent within a business discipline
Desirable
· Mathematics qualification
· Professional qualification in a supply chain discipline

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Essential
· Proven experience in a purchasing or fast moving business function
· Detailed and analytical background, producing data and presentations
· Evidence of a strong and frequent communicator at all levels of a business

Desirable
· Financial accounting
· Working in a centralised function
· Experience of a supplier development programme
