ACCOUNTABILITIES
Full mix Marketing Manager required to support The Northern Europe business unit within this IT software business, the role is a mix of on and offline. Within this role you will be required to travel within the UK and Europe (Maximum 30% of the role)
Functions and Responsibilities The primary duties of the Marketing Manager is to work with the Sales and Marketing teams to · Develop effective marketing campaigns for Northern Europe business unit in conjunction with relevant stakeholders to generate leads and raise awareness within the target markets. · Controlling the Marketing and PR Budget for Northern Europe. · Executing, promoting and evaluating results of company's participation in various events and trade shows. · Supporting the launch of new product releases. · Briefing and liaising with external suppliers, designers and printers · Developing relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, partners and the show team · Ensuring that all marketing administration is completed to a high standard · Producing mailings and general office correspondence · Collating and producing marketing plans and reports · Assisting Corporate Marketing in producing and proofreading marketing collateral (newsletters, case studies, online and offline content) · Helping to maintain the corporate website and manage direct marketing campaigns (emailing's, CRM) · Identifying potential sponsorships and partnership deals with industry partners such as Planet Retail, IGD and BRC. · Overseeing PR agency activities · Manage purchase orders in line with marketing budget · General administration support in coordination with marketing activities (coordinating meetings, booking rooms, hotel conference facilities, managing staff travels…) · Being an expert for the UK Marketing through the undertaking, analysing and reporting on market research, industry events, news publications and industry publications. · Working closely with our central Marketing team, who are based in Paris; · Developing meaningful relationships with key journalists
The essential qualities for the Marketing Manager · Have strong communications skills (written and verbal) with basic copywriting skills. · Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines. · Be a self-starter, proactive, flexible, able to set priorities. · Ability to work independently to achieve ambitious goals whilst actively engaging as a team member · Have excellent PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Dynamics) · Strong track record in marketing communications role; having had responsibility for devising and delivering PR plans · Have worked for a software vendor previously. Ideal but not essential Qualities · Knowledge of social media (writing blogs, liaising with external bloggers, managing accounts such as Facebook and Twitter.) · Ability to speak French is preferable. · Track record of managing budgets, and reporting financial performance and return on the investments we make. · Understanding of Internet, Google alerts, RSS feeds and experience of graphics packages is an advantage. · Have developed sophisticated communication and influencing skills in a multicultural environment · A self-starter with an international mind-set.
