ACCOUNTABILITIES


Our professional client requires an HR Officer as an addition to their established HR function. The HR function is well respected and adds strong value to the business, due to increased projects the need has arose for an extra headcount to assist with low level HR and an admin mix.
You must ideally have some experience of working within a similar environment including handling a range of employee relations issues, recruitment, training and development and the ability to build strong working relationships and communicate across all levels. The successful candidate must have a positive, can-do and people-centric approach. IT literacy is key and ideally you will be adept in the use of an HRIS and psychometrics.

Main duties
· Recruitment of staff (mainly admin/support level)
· Relationship-building with key recruitment agencies
· Dealing sensitively with Employee Relations issues
· Assisting with absence management including sending emails, holding meetings with staff with BI scores over the trigger point & keeping managers informed
· Reporting daily on all activity to the Head of HR
· Assisting with trainee recruitment - the running of this will be the Senior HR Officer's responsibility. This role will help ensure that all the assessment days are coordinated properly, creating shortlists and meaningful reports. Carrying out telephone first interviews and being involved with the assessment days.
· Carrying out a number of staff appraisals
· Carrying out a number of staff inductions
· Staff development - 3 & 6 month reviews
· Loan agreements for season tickets
· Childcare vouchers scheme (M&H & external clients)
· Production of memos & training agreements for staff
· Sickness & holiday reconciliations
· Exit Interviews
· Liaising with inside careers, professional bodies & advertising contacts
· Updating graduates database
· Assisting with charge out rates
· Runabike scheme
· Ensuring the website, intranet & facebook are kept up to date (e.g. blogs, policies and vacancies)
· Provide staff figures to various departments and Partners on request e.g. for annual returns and marketing
· Assisting with staff events
