JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE Head of Marketing, PR and Communications
REPORTS TO Managing Director
MANAGES 1x Marketing Manager, Marketing Assistant


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
To devise and deliver the Marketing, Communications and PR strategy define our usp and how we can deliver services better than our competition. Own the brand be clear about what we can to do to deliver to our patients, employees and NHS partners.


MAIN TASKS - PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Create implement and measure the success of a comprehensive communications (internal and external) and public relations program that will enhance the organisation's image and position within the marketplace and the general public
· Define and communicate the brand, image and position to external stakeholders, clients and general public and throughout the organisation
· Co-ordinate media interest and ensure regular contact with target media, directly or via PR agency as appropriate. Act as spokesperson as required.
· Co-ordinate and interpret customer satisfaction survey
· Working with the HR Director, develop and implement an employee communications and engagement programme
· Develop and manage short and long term budgets for marketing activity
· Working closely with the Head of Business Development to identify and implement various methods to increase activity with referrer groups (GP's and PCT's) letters/emails/updates assess effectiveness of various methods and amending plans/matrix as required. Support mobilisation of new business
· Work closely with operations team and attend relevant performance meetings when marketing/patient growth/referral needs enhancing

PERSON SPECIFICATION
· Likely to be educated to degree level. Professional Marketing qualification preferred.
· Proven track record in marketing, covering all the key elements of the broader role (i.e market planning, branding, communications, PR, product management)
· In depth understanding of market research tools and design market planning strategies
· Experience of working with the public sector desirable; experience of the Healthcare/NHS sector ideal.
· Experience of managing the marketing function in a multi -site organisation with customers/patients
· Will have the ability to understand and work in a politically sensitive environment, achieving results without compromising the company, colleagues, shareholders and stakeholders.
· Able to combine strategic and operational skills on a day to day basis
· Must be able to demonstrate leadership internally and externally to the organisation and the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
· Able to analyse data and determine indicated actions
· Good financial understanding including P&L and ROI
· Will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. He/she will be a competent presenter
